In November, choose the kind of warmth before the destination.
“Warmth” can mean a beach with little logistics, mild days for sightseeing or a tropical experience that justifies a longer journey. The same word hides differences in rain, wind, meal plans, connections and budget. The references below help with the first shortlist; the forecast and availability must be confirmed for specific dates.
| Destination | What official data helps you understand | Profile it can suit | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cape Verde | The Government gives annual averages between 20 and 25 ºC, moderated by the ocean and trade winds; this frames the climate but does not forecast every November day. | Beach week, resort and straightforward organisation. | Island, wind, airport, hotel, meal plan and transfer. |
| Canary Islands | Official information from Spain points to winter averages close to 20 ºC and little rain: mild warmth, not tropical heat. | Outings, nature, pool and beach without needing intense heat. | Island, hotel orientation, flights and car hire or excursions. |
| Morocco | The official Moroccan tourism office distinguishes Agadir’s sunny coast from the more continental interior. | Culture, food, city and a few coastal days. | Base city, transport, night-time temperature and sightseeing plan. |
| Thailand | The Tourism Authority of Thailand describes November as favourable on the Andaman coast; its Ko Samui page gives the Gulf islands a useful period through November. The coasts are not interchangeable. | Circuit, beach and culture when you have more nights. | Chosen coast, connections, domestic flights, transfers and pace. |
| Maldives | The official meteorological service gives the wet southwest monsoon from mid-May to November and December as a transition; the country remains warm, but showers are possible. | Resort, sea and privacy with room for weather variation. | Island, transfer, meal plan and a dated proposal specifying island, dates and room. |
Flight time should not be reduced to a fixed number: it depends on the airport, airline, connections, waiting time and internal links. A proposal from Lisbon may differ from one from Porto. Compare the complete itinerary, baggage and time between the airport and hotel.
A concrete reference for November
In the catalogue checked on 5 September 2026, the Thailand circuit offer showed a 14-night setup from 11 to 27 November, with five accommodations, internal transport, flights from Lisbon, breakfast and Silver insurance. It is an example of a circuit with several changes, not a reference for a beach stay on any island. If you prefer to stay in one resort, the comparison should use a different duration and package type.
Choose by your pace
For switching off with little organisation, start with Cape Verde and compare Sal with Boa Vista. For combining mild warmth with walks and visits, look at the Canary Islands or Morocco’s coast. For a trip with more content and movement, Thailand may make the extra nights worthwhile. The Maldives and Zanzibar fit when the focus is a tropical island and you accept longer logistics; request a tailored proposal rather than transferring prices from another date or destination.
The four questions that unlock the search
Tell me how many nights you have, whether you prefer Lisbon or Porto, how many connections you accept and whether you want a hotel beach or a circuit. Add your total budget, ages and meal plan. With these filters, the search stops being a list of warm places and starts comparing trips you can actually take.
